  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs (or regular breadcrumbs)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • Cooking spray (olive oil or avocado oil)

Instructions

  1. Pat chicken tenderloins dry with paper towels. In a shallow dish, combine flour, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  2. In a second shallow dish, beat the egg. In a third shallow dish, place the panko breadcrumbs.
  3. Dredge each chicken tenderloin first in the flour mixture, shaking off excess. Then dip it into the beaten egg, allowing any extra to drip off. Finally, coat it thoroughly in the panko breadcrumbs, pressing gently to adhere.
  4. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 3-5 minutes.
  5. Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray. Arrange the breaded chicken tenders in a single layer in the basket, ensuring not to overcrowd. You may need to cook in batches.
  6. Lightly spray the tops of the chicken tenders with cooking spray.
  7. Air fry for 10-14 minutes, flipping halfway through, or until golden brown, crispy, and cooked through (internal temperature reaches 165°F/74°C). Cooking time may vary based on the thickness of the tenders and your air fryer model.
  8. Serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauces.
