Description

Quick and easy meatball recipe using an air fryer for a weeknight meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20 or 85/15 recommended)
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (plain or panko)
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • Marinara sauce for serving (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, egg, minced garlic, parsley (if using), Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  2. Mix gently until just combined. Do not overmix.
  3. Roll mixture into 1.5-inch meatballs (about 18-20 meatballs).
  4. Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 3-5 minutes.
  5. Arrange meatballs in a single layer in the air fryer basket, ensuring not to overcrowd. Cook in batches if needed.
  6. Air fry for 12-15 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C) and they are browned.
  7. Serve immediately with marinara sauce, pasta, or as appetizers.

Notes

  • For best results, do not overcrowd the air fryer basket.
  • Ensure meatballs reach an internal temperature of 160°F (71°C).
