- 1 lb ground beef (80/20 or 85/15 recommended)
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (plain or panko)
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
- 1 large egg
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- Marinara sauce for serving (optional)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, egg, minced garlic, parsley (if using), Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Mix gently until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Roll mixture into 1.5-inch meatballs (about 18-20 meatballs).
- Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 3-5 minutes.
- Arrange meatballs in a single layer in the air fryer basket, ensuring not to overcrowd. Cook in batches if needed.
- Air fry for 12-15 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C) and they are browned.
- Serve immediately with marinara sauce, pasta, or as appetizers.
