Quick and crispy salmon burgers made in the air fryer, perfect for a healthy weeknight meal.
Ingredients
Scale
- 14.75 oz canned salmon, drained and flaked
- 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs, plus more for coating
- 1 large egg, lightly beaten
- 2 tbsp mayonnaise
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard
- 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 2 tbsp finely chopped fresh dill or parsley
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp onion powder
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
- Olive oil spray
- Burger buns, lettuce, tomato, red onion, and your favorite sauce for serving
Instructions
- Combine flaked salmon, 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs, beaten egg, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, dill or parsley, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper in a medium bowl. Mix gently until just combined.
- Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and form into patties, about 3/4-inch thick. Add more panko if the mixture is too wet. Coat patties in additional panko if desired.
- Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 3-5 minutes.
- Lightly spray the air fryer basket with olive oil spray. Place salmon patties in a single layer, without overlapping. Cook in batches if necessary.
- Lightly spray the tops of the salmon patties with olive oil spray.
- Air fry for 10-14 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and cooked through.
- Remove salmon burgers from the air fryer. Serve on toasted buns with your favorite toppings and sauce.
Notes
- Avoid overmixing the salmon mixture to prevent tough burgers.
- Cooking time may vary depending on your air fryer model and patty thickness.
