- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour

- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup rolled oats
- 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup cold unsalted butter, cut into cubes
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the sliced apples, granulated sugar, 2 tablespoons of flour, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Toss to coat.
- Transfer the apple mixture to a 9-inch baking dish.
- In a separate bowl, combine the remaining flour, oats, brown sugar, and salt.
- Cut in the cold butter using a pastry blender or your fingers until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Sprinkle the crumble topping evenly over the apple filling.
- Bake for 30-40 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the apple filling is bubbly.
- Let cool slightly before serving.

- For a healthier crumble, use whole wheat flour and reduce the amount of sugar.
