- 1 cup mashed ripe bananas (about 2–3 bananas)
- 1/3 cup warm milk
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) instant yeast
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 cup softened butter (for filling)
- 1/2 cup cream cheese frosting (optional, for topping)
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix mashed bananas, warm milk, melted butter, sugar, and vanilla. Add flour, yeast, and salt, then knead until a soft dough forms. Let rise for 1 hour.
- Roll the dough into a 12×16-inch rectangle. Spread softened butter evenly, then sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon.
- Tightly roll the dough from the long side, then slice into 12 equal pieces. Place in a greased baking dish.
- Cover and let rise for 30 minutes. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden. Drizzle with cream cheese frosting while warm.
Notes
- Store leftovers in an airtight container.
- Reheat in the microwave for a few seconds before serving.
