A simple and delicious recipe for BBQ chicken made in your crockpot. Perfect for a weeknight meal.

- 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs
- 1 cup your favorite BBQ sauce
- 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Place chicken breasts or thighs in the bottom of your crockpot.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together BBQ sauce, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- Pour the sauce mixture over the chicken.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours or on high for 2-3 hours, until chicken is cooked through and tender.
- Remove chicken from the crockpot and shred with two forks.
- Return shredded chicken to the crockpot and stir to coat with the sauce.
- Serve hot on buns, over rice, or with your favorite sides.
Notes
- For shredded chicken, you can also remove the chicken and shred it on a cutting board before returning it to the sauce.
- Adjust the amount of brown sugar to your sweetness preference.
- Add a pinch of cayenne pepper for a little heat.
