- 2 lbs ground beef
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1/2 cup chopped carrots
- 1/2 cup chopped celery
- 1/4 cup chopped bell pepper
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup ketchup
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, onion, carrots, celery, bell pepper, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
- Shape the mixture into a loaf and place in a baking dish.
- Spread ketchup evenly over the top of the meatloaf.
- Bake for 60-75 minutes, or until cooked through.
- Let stand for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
- Add your favorite vegetables to customize this meatloaf.
- For a moister meatloaf, add an extra egg or a little more milk.
- Serve with mashed potatoes and your favorite side dishes.
