Ingredients

  • 8 large dill pickles
  • 8 slices of cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Cut each pickle in half.
  2. Wrap each pickle piece with a slice of cheese.
  3. Place flour, beaten egg, and breadcrumbs in separate shallow dishes.
  4. Dip each cheese-wrapped pickle in flour, then egg, then breadcrumbs.
  5. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
  6. Fry the pickles until the cheese is melted and the breadcrumbs are golden brown.
  7. Remove and place on paper towels to drain excess oil.
  8. Serve warm.
