Ingredients

  • 1 pre-made pizza crust or homemade dough
  • 1/2 cup pesto sauce
  • 1.5 cups cooked chicken, shredded or diced
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1/4 cup red onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh basil leaves for garnish (optional)
  • Olive oil (for drizzling, optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Place a pizza stone in the oven while preheating, if using.
  2. Place the pizza crust on a baking sheet or pizza peel dusted with cornmeal.
  3. Spread the pesto sauce evenly over the pizza crust, leaving a small border for the crust.
  4. Evenly distribute the cooked chicken, mozzarella cheese, halved cherry tomatoes, and sliced red onion over the pesto.
  5. Sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese.
  6. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly and slightly browned.
  7. Remove from the oven, let it cool for a few minutes, then garnish with fresh basil leaves if desired.
  8. Slice and serve hot.
