Description
This recipe makes flagels with cottage cheese. They are easy to prepare and bake.

- 1 cup cottage cheese
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 ½ cups self-rising flour
- Everything bagel seasoning, for topping
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, combine the cottage cheese, egg, and baking powder. Mix until well combined.
- Gradually add the self-rising flour to the wet ingredients, mixing until a dough forms.
- Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface. Knead for 2-3 minutes until smooth.
- Divide the dough into 4 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a rope, then form into a flagel shape (flattened bagel).
- Place the flagels on the prepared baking sheet. Sprinkle generously with everything bagel seasoning.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- You can add other toppings like sesame seeds or poppy seeds.
- Store leftover flagels in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days.
