Description

This creamy shrimp alfredo is a quick and easy dinner. It is perfect for family meals.


Ingredients

  • 8 ounces fettuccine pasta
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 ½ cups heavy cream
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ¼ cup chopped fresh parsley
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook fettuccine according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, until pink and cooked through. Remove shrimp from skillet and set aside.
  3. Add minced garlic to the same skillet and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Pour in heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Cook for 3-5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens slightly.
  5. Stir in Parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper.
  6. Add cooked fettuccine and shrimp to the skillet. Toss to coat everything in the sauce.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, use freshly grated Parmesan cheese.
  • Add a pinch of red pepper flakes for a little heat.
  • Serve with a side salad and garlic bread.
