Description

Easy and customizable breakfast bundles made with crescent rolls, scrambled eggs, cooked sausage, and cheddar cheese.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent rolls
  • 8 small cooked breakfast sausages, cut into pieces
  • 8 small eggs, scrambled and cooked
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: 2 tbsp chopped chives or parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Open the can of crescent rolls and separate the dough into 8 triangles.
  3. On the wider end of each triangle, place a small portion of scrambled egg, a piece or two of cooked sausage, and a sprinkle of shredded cheddar cheese. Season lightly with salt and pepper.
  4. Starting from the wide end, carefully roll up each crescent roll triangle towards the narrower tip, enclosing the filling. Pinch the seams to seal, ensuring the filling is secure inside.
  5. Arrange the rolled bundles on the prepared baking sheet, leaving a little space between each.
  6. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the crescent rolls are golden brown and cooked through.
  7. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving. Garnish with fresh chives or parsley if desired.

Notes

  • For a make-ahead option, you can assemble the bundles and refrigerate them before baking. Add a few extra minutes to the baking time if baking from cold.
  • Feel free to substitute the sausage with cooked bacon, ham, or even a vegetarian sausage alternative.
  • Other cheese options like Monterey Jack or a Colby blend work well.
