Description
Easy and customizable breakfast bundles made with crescent rolls, scrambled eggs, cooked sausage, and cheddar cheese.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent rolls
- 8 small cooked breakfast sausages, cut into pieces
- 8 small eggs, scrambled and cooked
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: 2 tbsp chopped chives or parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Open the can of crescent rolls and separate the dough into 8 triangles.
- On the wider end of each triangle, place a small portion of scrambled egg, a piece or two of cooked sausage, and a sprinkle of shredded cheddar cheese. Season lightly with salt and pepper.
- Starting from the wide end, carefully roll up each crescent roll triangle towards the narrower tip, enclosing the filling. Pinch the seams to seal, ensuring the filling is secure inside.
- Arrange the rolled bundles on the prepared baking sheet, leaving a little space between each.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the crescent rolls are golden brown and cooked through.
- Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving. Garnish with fresh chives or parsley if desired.
Notes
- For a make-ahead option, you can assemble the bundles and refrigerate them before baking. Add a few extra minutes to the baking time if baking from cold.
- Feel free to substitute the sausage with cooked bacon, ham, or even a vegetarian sausage alternative.
- Other cheese options like Monterey Jack or a Colby blend work well.
