Ingredients

- 2 large onions
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1 cup buttermilk
- Vegetable oil for frying
Instructions
- Slice the onions into thin rings.
- In a bowl, mix flour, salt, pepper, and paprika.
- Dip onion rings in buttermilk, then dredge in the flour mixture.
- Heat oil in a deep fryer or pot to 350°F (175°C).
- Fry onion rings in batches until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove and drain on paper towels.
Notes
- Serve immediately for best results.
- Add a pinch of cayenne pepper for a little heat.
