Description

A comforting and easy pasta dish made in the crockpot, perfect for busy weeknights.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound pasta (penne, rotini, or shells)
  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 (24 ounce) jar marinara sauce
  • 1 (10.5 ounce) can condensed cream of chicken soup
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened and cut into cubes
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Optional: Shredded mozzarella or Parmesan cheese for topping

Instructions

  1. Place the uncooked pasta in the bottom of your slow cooker.
  2. Add the chicken pieces over the pasta.
  3. Pour the marinara sauce and condensed cream of chicken soup over the chicken and pasta.
  4. Distribute the cream cheese cubes evenly over the top.
  5. Sprinkle with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  6. Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours, or on high for 2-3 hours, until the chicken is cooked through and the pasta is tender.
  7. Stir everything together before serving.
  8. If desired, top with shredded cheese during the last 10-15 minutes of cooking.
