- 6 medium apples, peeled, cored, and sliced
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/4 cup rolled oats
- 1/4 cup cold butter, cut into small pieces
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the sliced apples, granulated sugar, and cinnamon. Mix well.
- Pour the apple mixture into an 8×8 inch baking dish.
- In a separate bowl, combine the flour, brown sugar, and rolled oats.
- Add the cold butter to the flour mixture. Use your fingers or a pastry blender to cut the butter into the dry ingredients until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Sprinkle the crumble topping evenly over the apple mixture in the baking dish.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the apples are tender.
- Serve warm.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add a pinch of nutmeg to the apple mixture.
- Serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream.
