Description
A simple and quick one-pan pasta dish with ground beef and cheese, perfect for beginner cooks or busy weeknights.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 (14.5 oz) can diced tomatoes, undrained
- 3 cups beef broth
- 8 oz elbow macaroni or small pasta, uncooked
- 1 tsp dried Italian seasoning
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 cup shredded cheddar or mozzarella cheese
- Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish
Instructions
- Brown ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat. Add onion and garlic during the last 3-5 minutes until softened. Drain excess grease.
- Add diced tomatoes, beef broth, uncooked pasta, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper to the skillet. Stir to combine.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 12-15 minutes, or until pasta is tender and most liquid is absorbed. Stir occasionally.
- Remove from heat and stir in shredded cheese until melted and creamy. Adjust seasonings if needed.
- Serve hot, garnished with parsley if desired.
Notes
- You can use water and beef bouillon instead of beef broth.
- Onion and garlic are optional but add extra flavor.
- Adjust pasta cooking time based on your preferred tenderness.
