Description
A quick and simple recipe for a comforting, flavorful hamburger stroganoff served over egg noodles. This easy weeknight dinner is ready in about 30 minutes.

 - 1 pound ground beef
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
- 1 (10.5 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup beef broth
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 12 ounces egg noodles
- 2 tablespoons butter
Instructions
- Cook egg noodles according to package directions. Drain and toss with butter. Set aside.
- In a large skillet, brown the ground beef with the chopped onion over medium-high heat. Drain off any excess grease.
- Add the minced garlic and sliced mushrooms to the skillet. Cook until mushrooms are softened, about 5 minutes.
- Stir in the condensed cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, beef broth, and Worcestershire sauce.
- Bring the mixture to a simmer, then reduce heat and cook for 5-10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until heated through and slightly thickened.
- Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
- Serve the stroganoff mixture over the prepared egg noodles.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, you can use fresh mushrooms instead of canned.
- Adjust the amount of beef broth to reach your desired sauce consistency.
- Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
