Description
A simple and quick recipe for honey sesame chicken, perfect for weeknight dinners.
Ingredients

 - 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 2 tablespoons sesame seeds, toasted
- 2 green onions, sliced
Instructions
- In a bowl, toss chicken pieces with 2 tablespoons soy sauce and cornstarch.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove chicken from skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, combine honey, 2 tablespoons soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, ginger, garlic, and red pepper flakes (if using). Bring to a simmer and cook for 2-3 minutes, until slightly thickened.
- Return chicken to the skillet and toss to coat with the sauce.
- Cook for another 1-2 minutes until the sauce is glossy and coats the chicken.
- Sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds and sliced green onions before serving.
Notes
- Serve with steamed rice or noodles.
- For a spicier dish, add more red pepper flakes.
