Description

Make these pumpkin bars on a sheet pan for an easy dessert.


Ingredients

  • 1 box spice cake mix
  • 1 (15 ounce) can pumpkin puree
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 4 tablespoons milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a sheet pan.
  2. In a large bowl, combine spice cake mix, pumpkin puree, and melted butter. Mix until well combined.
  3. Pour batter into prepared sheet pan and spread evenly.
  4. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  5. Let cool completely.
  6. In a medium bowl, beat together cream cheese, powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  7. Spread frosting over cooled bars.
  8. Cut into squares and serve.
