Create delicious, homemade filled donuts with ease using your air fryer. This recipe offers a healthier alternative to traditional frying, perfect for breakfast, brunch, or dessert.
Ingredients

							Scale

 - 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent rolls
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- Your favorite filling (jelly, cream, chocolate ganache)
- Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
- Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles.
- In a small bowl, combine the granulated sugar and cinnamon.
- Brush each crescent roll triangle lightly with melted butter and then dip both sides into the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
- Carefully place the coated dough triangles in the air fryer basket, ensuring they do not overlap. You may need to cook in batches.
- Air fry for 5-7 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.
- Remove donuts from the air fryer and let them cool slightly on a wire rack.
- Once slightly cooled, use a small knife or skewer to poke a hole in the side of each donut.
- Fill the donuts using a piping bag or a small spoon with your desired filling.
- Dust with powdered sugar, if desired, before serving.
Notes
- Ensure your air fryer is preheated for even cooking.
- Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket; cook in batches if necessary.
- Allow donuts to cool slightly before filling to prevent the filling from melting out.
- Experiment with different fillings like fruit preserves, pastry cream, or chocolate hazelnut spread.
