- 2 tablespoons instant coffee granules
- 1/4 cup hot water
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1/4 cup milk
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- In a large bowl, melt butter. Stir in granulated sugar.
- Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together cocoa powder, flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Pour batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with moist crumbs.
- Let brownies cool completely in the pan on a wire rack.
- For the frosting, dissolve instant coffee granules in hot water.
- In a medium bowl, combine powdered sugar, milk, and coffee mixture. Whisk until smooth.
- Once brownies are cool, spread frosting evenly over the top.
- Cut into squares and serve.
Notes
- Ensure brownies are completely cool before frosting to prevent the frosting from melting.
- For a stronger coffee flavor, add an extra teaspoon of instant coffee to the frosting.
