Description

Instructions

  1. In a shallow dish, whisk together the gluten-free flour, salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  2. In another shallow dish, beat the eggs.
  3. In a third shallow dish, combine the gluten-free breadcrumbs and grated Parmesan cheese.
  4. Dip each mozzarella stick piece first into the flour mixture, ensuring it’s fully coated. Shake off any excess.
  5. Next, dip the floured mozzarella stick into the beaten eggs, letting any excess drip off.
  6. Finally, roll the egg-coated mozzarella stick in the breadcrumb and Parmesan mixture, pressing gently to adhere. Repeat the egg and breadcrumb coating for a thicker crust if desired.
  7. Place the coated mozzarella sticks on a plate or baking sheet and freeze for at least 30 minutes to help them hold their shape during cooking.
  8. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) or your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  9. If using an air fryer, lightly spray the basket with cooking spray or brush with oil. Arrange the frozen mozzarella sticks in a single layer. Cook for 6-8 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
  10. If baking, place the frozen mozzarella sticks on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Lightly spray or brush them with oil. Bake for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
  11. Serve immediately with your favorite marinara sauce.

  • For extra crispy sticks, ensure they are well-frozen before cooking.
