Description
A simple and flavorful grilled pork chop recipe perfected for juicy and tender results, perfect for weeknight dinners or gatherings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 bone-in pork chops (about 1 inch thick)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Optional: Fresh rosemary sprigs for grilling
Instructions
- In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, soy sauce, honey, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt to create the marinade.
- Place the pork chops in a shallow dish or a resealable bag. Pour the marinade over the pork chops, ensuring they are well coated. Marinate for at least 30 minutes at room temperature, or up to 4 hours in the refrigerator.
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Clean the grill grates.
- Remove pork chops from the marinade, letting any excess drip off. Discard the remaining marinade.
- Place the pork chops on the preheated grill. If using, add rosemary sprigs to the grill for added flavor.
- Grill for about 4-6 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C) and grill marks appear. Avoid overcooking to maintain juiciness.
- Remove the pork chops from the grill and let them rest for 5-10 minutes before serving. This allows the juices to redistribute, resulting in a more tender chop.
Notes
- For thicker pork chops, adjust grilling time as needed.
- Serve with your favorite grilled vegetables or a fresh salad.
- You can substitute brown sugar for honey in the marinade.
- Experiment with different herbs like thyme or sage for varied flavors.
