- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes, undrained
- 1 can (15 oz) kidney beans, rinsed and drained
- 1 packet taco seasoning
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Instructions
- Brown ground beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Drain excess grease.
- Add onion and garlic to the skillet and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
- Stir in diced tomatoes, kidney beans, and taco seasoning. Bring to a simmer and cook for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Serve hot, topped with shredded cheddar cheese.
Notes
- For a spicier dish, add a pinch of cayenne pepper or a diced jalapeño to the skillet.
- Serve over rice, pasta, or in taco shells.
