- 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1/4 cup water
- Optional: chopped green onions, sesame seeds, cooked rice or lettuce wraps for serving
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add ground turkey and cook, breaking it up with a spoon, until browned. Drain any excess grease.
- Add chopped onion and cook until softened, about 3-5 minutes.
- Stir in minced garlic and grated ginger and cook for 1 minute more.
- In a small bowl, whisk together gochujang, soy sauce, honey (or maple syrup), sesame oil, and water.
- Pour the sauce over the ground turkey mixture and bring to a simmer.
- Cook for 5-7 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened slightly.
- Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds, if desired.
- Serve over cooked rice or in lettuce wraps.
