Description

Ingredients

  • 1 box chocolate cake mix
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 container chocolate frosting
  • Red gel food coloring
  • Mini marshmallows
  • Chocolate sprinkles (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
  2. In a large bowl, combine cake mix, water, oil, and eggs. Mix until well combined.
  3. Fill cupcake liners about 2/3 full.
  4. Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  5. Let cupcakes cool completely before frosting.
  6. Tint chocolate frosting with red gel food coloring to create a blood-red color.
  7. Frost each cupcake with the red frosting.
  8. Cut mini marshmallows in half to resemble vampire teeth.
  9. Arrange marshmallow teeth on top of each cupcake to create a ‘bite mark’.
  10. Sprinkle with chocolate sprinkles, if desired.
