Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine flour, salt, and yeast.
- Add warm water and olive oil to the dry ingredients. Mix until a shaggy dough forms.
- Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead for 5-7 minutes, until smooth and elastic.
- Incorporate the chopped fresh herbs into the dough during the last minute of kneading.
- Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, turning to coat. Cover and let rise in a warm place for 1-1.5 hours, or until doubled in size.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Punch down the dough and shape it into a round or oval loaf.
