Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional toppings: cooked bacon, sour cream, chives

Instructions

  1. Boil the potatoes until tender, about 15-20 minutes.
  2. Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot.
  3. Add cream cheese, milk, butter, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mash until smooth.
  4. Stir in the cheddar cheese.
