Ingredients

- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 (28 ounce) can crushed tomatoes
- 4 cups beef broth
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 8 ounces lasagna noodles, broken into pieces
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- Fresh basil leaves for garnish
Instructions
- Brown the ground beef in a large pot or Dutch oven. Drain off any excess fat.
- Add the onion and garlic to the pot and cook until softened.
- Stir in the crushed tomatoes, beef broth, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil.
- Add the broken lasagna noodles and cook until tender, about 10-12 minutes.
- Stir in the ricotta cheese and mozzarella cheese until melted.
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh basil leaves.
Notes
- You can add vegetables like carrots or celery.
- For a spicier soup, add a pinch of red pepper flakes.
- Feel free to use your favorite lasagna ingredients.
