  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 (28 ounce) can crushed tomatoes
  • 1 (15 ounce) can tomato sauce
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 9 lasagna noodles, broken into pieces
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh basil, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Brown ground beef in a large pot over medium-high heat. Drain excess grease.
  2. Add onion and garlic to the pot and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  3. Stir in crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce, beef broth, oregano, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes.
