- 1 (29 ounce) can sliced peaches in heavy syrup, undrained
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
- Pour the undrained canned peaches into an 8×8 inch baking dish.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Add the milk and melted butter to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Pour the batter evenly over the peaches in the baking dish.
- Sprinkle the cinnamon over the top of the batter.
- Bake for 30-40 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
- For a richer flavor, you can add a pinch of nutmeg to the batter.
- If you prefer a less sweet cobbler, you can use peaches packed in light syrup or juice.
