Description

A simple and delicious peach cobbler made with canned peaches, perfect for a quick and comforting dessert.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (29 ounce) can sliced peaches in heavy syrup, undrained
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  2. Pour the undrained canned peaches into an 8×8 inch baking dish.
  3. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  4. Add the milk and melted butter to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix.
  5. Pour the batter evenly over the peaches in the baking dish.
  6. Sprinkle the cinnamon over the top of the batter.
  7. Bake for 30-40 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.
  8. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
  • For a richer flavor, you can add a pinch of nutmeg to the batter.
  • If you prefer a less sweet cobbler, you can use peaches packed in light syrup or juice.
