- 1 cup packed light brown sugar

- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour an 8×8 inch baking pan.
- In a medium bowl, combine flour, 1/2 cup softened butter, granulated sugar, and 1/4 teaspoon salt. Mix until crumbly.
- Press the mixture evenly into the bottom of the prepared pan to form the crust.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together brown sugar, melted butter, eggs, vanilla extract, and 1/2 teaspoon salt until well combined.
- Stir in the chopped pecans.
- Pour the pecan mixture evenly over the crust.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the center is set.
- Let cool completely in the pan before cutting into bars.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, use dark brown sugar instead of light brown sugar.
- If you prefer a chewier bar, bake for a few minutes less.
