Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×5 inch loaf pan.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and ginger.
- In a separate bowl, beat the granulated sugar and eggs until well combined.
- Stir in the pumpkin puree, vegetable oil, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a wooden skewer inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- For extra moistness, you can substitute the milk with buttermilk.
- Add a sprinkle of coarse sugar on top before baking for a sweet crunch.
