Description

Quick and healthy salmon burgers perfect for a weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound salmon fillet, skin removed
  • 1/4 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh dill
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 4 burger buns
  • Optional toppings: lettuce, tomato, onion, avocado, sauce

Instructions

  1. Cut the salmon into chunks and place in a food processor. Pulse until coarsely ground.
  2. Transfer the ground salmon to a bowl. Add panko breadcrumbs, dill, Dijon mustard, lemon zest, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until just combined. Do not overmix.
  3. Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape them into patties, about 3/4 inch thick.
  4. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  5. Carefully place the salmon patties in the skillet and cook for 4-5 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  6. Serve the salmon burgers on buns with your favorite toppings.

Notes

  • For a healthier option, you can grill the salmon burgers instead of pan-frying them.
  • If you don’t have a food processor, you can finely chop the salmon by hand.
  • Feel free to add other seasonings like onion powder or a pinch of cayenne pepper for extra flavor.
