Description
Quick and healthy salmon burgers perfect for a weeknight dinner.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound salmon fillet, skin removed
- 1/4 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh dill
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon lemon zest
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 4 burger buns
- Optional toppings: lettuce, tomato, onion, avocado, sauce
Instructions
- Cut the salmon into chunks and place in a food processor. Pulse until coarsely ground.
- Transfer the ground salmon to a bowl. Add panko breadcrumbs, dill, Dijon mustard, lemon zest, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape them into patties, about 3/4 inch thick.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Carefully place the salmon patties in the skillet and cook for 4-5 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
- Serve the salmon burgers on buns with your favorite toppings.
Notes
- For a healthier option, you can grill the salmon burgers instead of pan-frying them.
- If you don’t have a food processor, you can finely chop the salmon by hand.
- Feel free to add other seasonings like onion powder or a pinch of cayenne pepper for extra flavor.
