Ingredients
Scale
- 4 salmon fillets (6–8 ounces each)
- 4 tablespoons butter, unsalted
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup lemon juice, fresh
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Instructions
- Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels and season with salt and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Place the salmon fillets skin-side down (if applicable) in the hot skillet and cook for 4-6 minutes, or until the skin is crispy and golden brown.
- Flip the salmon fillets and cook for another 3-5 minutes, or until cooked through and flakes easily with a fork. Remove salmon from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes (if using) and cook for 1-2 minutes, or until fragrant.
- Pour in the lemon juice and bring to a simmer. Cook for 1-2 minutes, or until the sauce slightly thickens.
- Stir in the fresh parsley.
- Pour the garlic lemon butter sauce over the salmon fillets.
- Serve immediately with your favorite sides.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add a splash of white wine to the sauce.
- You can bake the salmon instead of pan-searing. Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 12-15 minutes.
- Adjust the amount of red pepper flakes to your preference.
