Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 1/4 teaspoons instant yeast
  • 3/4 cup warm milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg
  • Salted honey butter

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, salt, and yeast.
  2. Add warm milk, melted butter, and egg. Mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1-1.5 hours, or until doubled in size.
  5. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  6. Punch down the dough and divide it into 12 equal pieces.
  7. Roll each piece into a ball and place them in a greased baking pan.
  8. Cover and let rise for another 30 minutes.
  9. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
  10. While the rolls are baking, prepare the salted honey butter.
  11. Brush the baked rolls with salted honey butter and serve warm.
