- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 1/4 teaspoons instant yeast
- 3/4 cup warm milk
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 large egg
- Salted honey butter
Instructions
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, salt, and yeast.
- Add warm milk, melted butter, and egg. Mix until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1-1.5 hours, or until doubled in size.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Punch down the dough and divide it into 12 equal pieces.
- Roll each piece into a ball and place them in a greased baking pan.
- Cover and let rise for another 30 minutes.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
- While the rolls are baking, prepare the salted honey butter.
- Brush the baked rolls with salted honey butter and serve warm.
Notes
- For best results, use a stand mixer with a dough hook.
- Ensure the milk is warm, not hot, to activate the yeast.
