Description

A traditional recipe for a rich and nutty pecan pie, perfect for holidays and gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 unbaked 9-inch pie crust
  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3 large eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1 1/2 cups pecan halves or pieces

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together corn syrup, brown sugar, granulated sugar, melted butter, vanilla extract, and salt until well combined.
  3. Gradually whisk in the lightly beaten eggs until the mixture is smooth.
  4. Stir in the pecan halves, ensuring they are evenly distributed.
  5. Pour the pecan mixture into the unbaked pie crust.
  6. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until the center is set but still slightly jiggly. If the crust begins to brown too quickly, cover the edges with aluminum foil.
  7. Let the pie cool completely on a wire rack before slicing and serving. This allows the filling to fully set.

Notes

  • Cover crust edges with foil if they brown too quickly during baking.
  • Allow the pie to cool completely for the filling to set properly.
