Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (or to taste)
  • 1/4 cup tomato sauce
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, egg, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes.
  3. Mix gently until just combined. Do not overmix.
  4. Shape the mixture into small meatballs, about 1-inch in diameter.
  5. Place the meatballs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until browned and cooked through.
  7. In a separate bowl, mix tomato sauce and Parmesan cheese.
  8. Add the cooked meatballs to the sauce and toss to coat.

Notes
