Description
Prepare spicy Sriracha chicken wings, perfect for game day or a casual meal. This recipe delivers a flavorful and fiery kick.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 lbs chicken wings, split at the joint, wing tips removed
- 1/2 cup sriracha sauce
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Green onions, chopped (for garnish)
- Sesame seeds (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil and place a wire rack on top.
- Pat chicken wings dry with paper towels. Season lightly with salt and pepper. Arrange wings in a single layer on the wire rack.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes, flipping halfway through, until chicken is cooked through and skin is crispy.
- While wings are baking, prepare the sriracha glaze: In a medium saucepan, combine sriracha sauce, honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, minced garlic, grated ginger, and sesame oil.
- Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat to low and let it thicken slightly for about 5-7 minutes.
- Once wings are done, remove them from the oven. In a large bowl, toss the hot wings with the sriracha glaze until evenly coated.
- Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving. Serve immediately.
Notes
- For extra crispy wings, ensure they are thoroughly dried before baking.
