 - 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
 - 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
 - 1/4 teaspoon salt
 - 6 tablespoons cold unsalted butter, cut into cubes
 - 3/4 cup buttermilk
 - 2 tablespoons melted butter, for brushing
 - 2 tablespoons granulated sugar, for sprinkling
 
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
 - In a large bowl, combine strawberries, 3/4 cup sugar, cornstarch, lemon juice, and vanilla extract. Gently toss and set aside.
 - In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, 1/4 cup sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
 - Cut in cold butter using a pastry blender or your fingers until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
 - Add buttermilk and stir until just combined. Do not overmix.
 - Pour strawberry mixture into a 9×13 inch baking dish.
 - Drop spoonfuls of biscuit dough over the strawberry mixture.
 - Brush the biscuit topping with melted butter and sprinkle with 2 tablespoons sugar.
 - Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the biscuit topping is golden brown and the strawberry filling is bubbly.
 - Let cool slightly before serving.

- For best results, use fresh, ripe strawberries.
 - Adjust the amount of sugar based on the sweetness of your strawberries.
 - If you don’t have buttermilk, you can use regular milk with 1 tablespoon of lemon juice or vinegar added. Let it sit for a few minutes before using.
