Classic tater tot casserole with green beans.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 can (10.75 ounces) condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 package (16 ounces) frozen green beans
  • 1 bag (32 ounces) frozen tater tots

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. In a large skillet, brown ground beef and onion over medium heat. Drain excess grease.
  3. Stir in cream of mushroom soup, milk, salt, and pepper.
  4. Pour mixture into a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  5. Add frozen green beans on top of the meat mixture.
  6. Arrange frozen tater tots in a single layer over the green beans.
  7. Bake for 30-40 minutes, or until tater tots are golden brown and casserole is heated through.
  8. Let stand for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

  • For a cheesier casserole, sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the tater tots during the last 10 minutes of baking.
  • You can substitute other vegetables for the green beans, such as corn, peas, or mixed vegetables.
