Description
A copycat recipe for the popular Texas Roadhouse Butter Chicken Skillet, featuring tender chicken, savory butter sauce, mushrooms, and herbs. This one-pan meal is perfect for a hearty family dinner.
Ingredients

							Scale

 - 1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp dried Italian seasoning
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley, for garnish
Instructions
- Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add chicken pieces and cook until browned on all sides. Remove chicken from skillet and set aside.
- Add onion to the skillet and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
- Add garlic and mushrooms and cook until mushrooms are browned, about 5-7 minutes.
- Pour in chicken broth and heavy cream. Bring to a simmer, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet.
- Stir in Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Return chicken to the skillet. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 10-15 minutes, or until chicken is cooked through and sauce has thickened.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
- Serve with your favorite side dishes like rice or mashed potatoes.
- For a spicier version, add a pinch of red pepper flakes with the garlic.
- Ensure chicken is cooked to an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
