Description

These White Cheddar & Spinach Chicken Burgers are a delicious and healthy option for a quick weeknight meal. Enjoy juicy, flavorful burgers packed with fresh spinach and topped with melted white cheddar.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1.25 lbs ground chicken
  • 5 oz fresh spinach, chopped
  • 4 oz white cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 burger buns
  • Optional toppings: lettuce, tomato, onion, avocado

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the ground chicken, chopped spinach, shredded white cheddar cheese, breadcrumbs, egg, minced garlic, salt, and pepper.
  2. Mix all ingredients until well combined, being careful not to overmix.
  3. Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape them into patties.
  4. Preheat your grill or a skillet over medium heat.
  5. Cook the patties for about 6-8 minutes per side, or until they are cooked through and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  6. If desired, add extra white cheddar cheese slices on top of the patties during the last minute of cooking to melt the cheese.
  7. Serve the burgers on buns with your favorite toppings.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, try adding a pinch of red pepper flakes to the burger mixture.
  • You can use frozen spinach, but be sure to thaw it and squeeze out any excess moisture before adding it to the mixture.
  • Serve with a side salad or roasted vegetables for a complete meal.
