Description

A creamy, smoky appetizer featuring grilled brie and peaches drizzled with vibrant pesto. This Mediterranean-inspired dish balances rich, sweet, and herby flavors with minimal effort, making it ideal for any sophisticated gathering.

Ingredients

Scale

8 oz brie cheese
2 ripe peaches
23 tablespoons pesto
1 tablespoon olive oil
Optional: honey or maple syrup for sweetness
Optional: fresh basil leaves for garnish

Instructions

Preheat grill or stovetop grill pan to medium-high heat
Slice brie cheese into 4-6 portions (wedges or slices)
Brush peaches with olive oil, cut in half, and remove pits
Grill fruit cut-side down for 3-4 minutes until golden and slightly charred
Grill brie for 3-5 minutes until softened and caramelized on edges
Arrange grilled brie and peaches on serving platter
Top with pesto and optional drizzle of honey or maple syrup
Garnish with fresh basil leaves if desired

Notes

Use a double- or triple-crème brie for enhanced richness
Nectarines work well as a peach substitute
Adjust pesto quantity based on brie size and personal preference
Maple syrup is an excellent halal-friendly replacement for honey
