- 1 package hot dogs
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1 large egg
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- Vegetable oil, for frying
- Wooden skewers
Instructions
- Insert a wooden skewer into each hot dog.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, cornstarch, sugar, salt, and baking powder.
- Add milk and egg to the dry ingredients and mix until smooth.
- Pour panko breadcrumbs into a separate bowl.
- Dip each hot dog into the batter, then roll in panko breadcrumbs.
- Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or pot to 350°F (175°C).
- Carefully fry the corn dogs until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes.
- Remove and place on a paper towel to drain.
- Serve immediately with your favorite toppings.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the batter.
- You can use different types of sausages.
- Serve with ketchup, mustard, or gochujang mayo.
