Ingredients
Boxed White Cake Mix
3 large eggs, room temperature
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 cup water
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
4 cups powdered sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2–4 tablespoons heavy cream or milk
1 pint fresh blueberries
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C)
Prepare cake mix according to box instructions with eggs, oil, and water
Pour batter into greased 9×13-inch pan
Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden and toothpick comes out clean
Cool cake completely
Beat butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy, then add vanilla and 2 tablespoons of cream/milk (add more for thinner frosting)
Frost cooled cake evenly with buttercream
Arrange blueberries in a striped flag pattern (alternating red/white using red food coloring on white frosting if needed)
